AOTW – KALCIUM
First I would like to say thanks to all the loyal listeners and fans for their support, love, and encouragement. And, also thanks to all my “Real” friends who support and motivate me daily in my music career.
My name is Roshane Forbes, however, I go by the name of (“Kalcium”) I was born in Discovery Bay, St. Ann in Jamaica and I now live in South Florida where I completed High School. I started writing and recording music in 2004 with my first song entitled “Mama Love”. Over the past few years, I performed at local parties, concerts, and stage shows. I was born and lived in Jamaica until 2005, where I grew up with my 2 brothers and my mother who cared for us as a single parent. Music has always been a talent of mine, however – Assassin A.K.A. Agent Sasco – inspired me to further develop my talent to write and record more music. When I moved to South Florida, I began writing and recording more music than ever before. I have recorded over 20 songs and have performed many of them at local clubs and concerts. In June 2010, I coordinated a concert named “Show Me Your Talent” which showcased over 25 local artists performing in various genres such as reggae, culture, rap and hip-hop. I Recently release my first Single entitled “Break Up” January 1, 2013. and its now Available on iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon MP3, Emusic, Nokia, VCast, and many more websites where this track can be downloaded. I am going to college, working, and focusing on my music career all at the same time. While I am busy, you can probably find me writing new songs or promoting my music every chance I get. I came from a family of 4 that had many struggles but that did not change my desire to succeed in my musical career. There were many difficult times, yet these experiences not only shaped the person I am today, but were also the source of many of the lyrics in my music.
