Cee Gee is a very humble and god-fearing individual anticipated by many who know of his lyrical skills to be a very huge dancehall act in the near future.
Born Cheston Grossett, in the small town of Port Antonio, Portland, this Gemini has his sights on becoming a musical legend. Known for his hard-hitting rhymes, melodies and styles, Cee Gee is an act any and every dancehall lover would want to experience performing live.
Somewhere during the six years spent at Titchfield High, Cee Gee discovered he had a true passion for music and as such decided to take songwriting and performing seriously. He became a member of the KALM CREW in 1997 and now represents for the ‘Martian Movement’ which is inclusive of Beenie Man, Phaze, Kantana and more. There was no father figure present in this Dee jay’s life and his mother of four and young son are still the main motivating factors fueling CeeGee’s determination to become successful. With this determination and achieving his musical goals, he can provide a better quality life for them, other relatives and friends.
Cee Gee takes great pride in his writing skills, this area evidently being his forte, has extended as far as writing for the undisputed king of the dancehall, Beenie Man.
Cee Gee is currently recording songs for Mario C’s 357 Records, Music Unit-Ed’, M.D Entertainment, Dejavu Lifestyle Records, and his single “Money Song” is currently in radio rotation.
If you should ever see Cee Gee ‘The Martian’ in the streets, do not have to call him by his name, just say: “KALM IS DA KEY…”
